OpenStudy is a free web site that helps you connect with other people on the Internet to help you study online via Q&A. It is possibly one of the coolest things I have seen in a long time, because it is so simple and powerful in both concept and design. There’s a lot of free web sites out there 
for education and many of them are great, but this one truly stands out to my eye as an excellent achievement in sense and usefulness.

How to run two Dropbox instances on the same PC
Why would you want to run multiple Dropbox instances on the same machine? We could think of two reasons (1) you’ve maxed out on the 16 gigs or so that each free Dropbox account can give you as a ceiling, and would like to use another account (or accounts) to add more, or (2) you would like to access another Dropbox account for whatever reason, such as a disposable account used by members of your team or that of someone else (such an ex employee of your company) or somesuch.

There is something that makes sense about seeing the weather forecast displayed on a big map, which may be related to the fact that we are all used to seeing forecasts superimposed on big maps on TV. In any case, Full Screen Weather is a free service that will display a detailed map with annotated weather information pulled from the ‘Weather Underground’ website. Two awesome new free ZIP archiving programs that you’ve probably never heard of
We recently published a big comparison of free ZIP archiving and compression programs on Freewaregenius that looked at many of the more well known (and some not so well known) free ZIP programs out there. The conclusion: we liked HaoZip, 7-Zip, and PeaZip best, in that order.
